Workforce Initiative Program

How can it help?

The Workforce Initiative Program is designed to provide job training services to individuals from Lackawanna County who are over the age of 18 and living at or below 200 percent of poverty.

 

The program will provide job search skills, resume writing, interview training, communication skills, and job search assistance for successful job placement. Referrals to job training programs, GED Education, English as a Second Language classes (ESL), and Childcare Services will also be available.

 

Case Managers can meet with clients in person with masks and social distancing, virtually by computer, or by telephone. Eligibility is determined by the Workforce Initiative team.

  • Applicant must be

    • 18 Years of Age or Olde

    • Unemployed or Under-employed
