Utility Assistance Program
How can it Help?
The Utility Assistance Program will provide a payment to the utility of your choice for up to $225.00 for residents of Lackawanna County living at or below 200% of poverty.
WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR THE PROGRAM?

Eligible applicants must reside within the Lackawanna County

Provide proof of household income

two recent pay stubs from each person working

Verification that at least one person (applicant) works a minimum of 21 hours/per week. or a formal offer letter from a future employer documenting the expected hourly wage

Copies of 2 most recent utility bills

Photo ID

Applications will be accepted beginning November 2, 2020

The deadline to apply is October 31, 2021, or until funding is depleted.

One applicant per household, per year

An applicant’s household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (as noted above.
