Community Programs Director
Ann Lynady is the Acting Director of Community Programs at The Scranton-Lackawanna Human Development Agency since December 2017. Ann holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Marywood University. Prior to coming to work with the Agency, Ann worked in the Child Welfare Program in York, Pennsylvania as Supervisor of the Intake Department.
Ann started with the Agency in the Jobs Training Program as an Employment Counselor in December of 1987. In September of 1989 she joined the staff of the Head Start Program as the Parent Involvement Coordinator, for sixteen years growing and formalizing the systems to meet Head Start Performance Standards and building a solid framework for active parent participation at the Center as well as the Policy Council level. In February of 2005 she took the position of Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance Coordinator (ERSEA).
Ann became the Director of the Head Start Program in 2013. Ann is a graduate of the UCLA/Johnson & Johnson Head Start Management Fellows Program.
