INDIVIDUAL TRAINING AGREEMENTS (IDAG'S) (YOUTH ONLY)




Any youth between the ages of 18 and 21 years of age inclusive who meets WIA eligibility requirements and is interested in short-term training for job placement purposes, may discuss their individual goals and requests with a Youth Case Manager/Counselor. Approvals are made based on specific requests in relation to current local job openings and the applicability of training. Clients must research the most appropriate training options at individual schools, costs of training, and complete and Individual Service Strategy detailing their employment goals following the completion of training. Virtually, any type of training of training will be considered as long as it appears on the State-wide Training Provider List and is considered in demand in the local economy. Examples of training include: Medical Assistant; Cosmetology; Tractor Trailer Driver; Computer/Clerical Training; and Nurses Aide.
