Basic Computer Instruction
The Lackawanna County Workforce Investment Area now provides, on-site
at Lackawanna
County CareerLink, instruction in basic computer
skills for all eligible WIA clients. This short-term,
entry-level training is conducted by a qualified
computer instructor in a classroom setting with
one-on-one attention as needed. Designed
primarily for first-time to intermediate computer
users, this training may be used as a stand-alone
activity or as a prerequisite to additional training
with a state-approved Training Provider(see
Individual Training Accounts), Areas of
instruction include: entry-level usage (learning to
operate the computer, keyboard, and mouse);
Microsoft Office packages; using the printer, etc.
