Rapid Response Activities


Coordinated through Mr. William Dunn, Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Supervisor, Rapid Response Trade Division, Rapid Response activities are conducted by a team of community leaders working together to provide immediate response to notification of local plant closings, downsizings, and intermittent lay-offs. Developed as part of a the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's initiative to address economic concerns across the State, the team may be dispatched directly to a particular on-sire location, meet at a convenient off-site setting, or utilize the Lackawanna County CareerLink. Rapid Response activities are designed specifically to provide a broad and comprehensive overview of all available services through presentations, dissemination of information, personal contacts, etc. Rapid Response meetings are scheduled through Mr. Dunn's office.
