Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Crisis Component provides emergency energy assistance to eligible Lackawanna County residents to resolve or avoid life and/or health-threatening situations due to harsh weather conditions.
Services include:

Deliveries of fossil fuels when supply is depleted or nearly depleted
Utility Payments to reconnect/prevent termination of heating related utility services
Repairs/Replacements of non-functioning furnaces
