The Emergency Food Assistance ProgramThe Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)distributes government surplus food to low-income residents of Lackawanna County via both mass distribution on designated days and on a constant basis via local pantries. Over thirty sites throughout the county are supplied on a rotating basis to distribute food though mass distribution. All low-income residents of Lackawanna County are eligible to receive food at the distribution sites on the announced available dates.
